1974 TRIUMPH STAG – The Monarch of the Glen

”The Stag is one of the most underrated sporting cars ever produced in Britain. Beneath its

restrained elegance lies an appealing package that offers grand touring par excellence.” (Classic & Sports Car 01/05/1996)

The Stag’s sharp styling and fine balance between handling and comfort make it an excellent touring or wedding car. There is seating for four (lap belts in the rear) and it has a convertible soft-top. Having such modern comforts such as electric windows, power steering, power brakes and an effective heater the Stag is an easy and comfortable car to drive.

Our Stag is equipped with the rare, and more desirable, manual gearbox with overdrive (mounted on the gearlever) which allows you to get the best performance out of the silky smooth V8 and improves fuel economy too.

It has a period black vinyl interior, which has been upgraded with a modern CD/radio, walnut dash, moto lita steering wheel and a detailed engine bay to make it that extra bit special.

The V8 engine sounds superb through the twin stainless steel sports exhausts.

In 2005 our Stag underwent a complete rebuild, including new paint, mohair hood, interior, suspension and brakes. At the same time all chrome-work was refinished. In 2008 the engine was completely rebuilt to the highest standard and the cooling system also upgraded to overcome the Stag's notorious overheating problems.
